As a Software Engineer on our agentic AI platform team, you9ll help build and advance a platform designed to power intelligent, autonomous workflows in complex operational environments. You9ll integrate diverse data sources and external APIs using MCP tools, and you9ll work with cyber analysts to translate operational challenges into technical solutions. From designing stream processing pipelines to crafting agentic primitives like skills, prompts, and subagents, your work will shape how intelligent agents operate, learn, and deliver mission value.\r\nThis role is based in Columbia, MD.\r\nRequirements 3 years of software development experience with strong Python proficiency, or 7 years of experience in lieu of a B.S. in a technical discipline\r\nHands-on experience building and maintaining production applications that serve hundreds to thousands of users\r\nSolid understanding of AI development concepts, including prompt engineering, context management, structured outputs, and tool/function calling\r\nExperience developing resilient, scalable stream processing applications using modern messaging and event-streaming platforms\r\nExperience leveraging AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and automation\r\nPreferred Skills Experience with agentic workflows and multi-agent orchestration using frameworks such as PydanticAI, LangGraph, or DeepAgents\r\nBackground in cybersecurity or familiarity with security operations workflows\r\nExperience managing deployments in AWS Cloud with Kubernetes\r\nGitLab CI/CD automation\r\nExperience with retrieval systems, including RAG, vector databases, and semantic search\r\nExperience analyzing cybersecurity-related datasets such as network traffic and OS events\r\nKnowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems\r\nExperience with production CNO capabilities and operations\r\nBenefits at Bitwise Competitive compensation for top performers\r\nPTO flexibility with 3–5 weeks and corresponding pay adjustment\r\nAll 11 federal holidays paid\r\nUp to 2 snow days paid\r\nEmployer match on 401(k) with generous contributions\r\n100% employer-paid medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances; option to adjust for higher salary\r\nAnnual education assistance for training, certifications, tuition, and student loan repayments\r\nSpot bonuses for certifications and recognitions\r\nSalary Range $197,500 – $232,500\r\nThis range includes our flex income and depends on annual work hours.
