Shipper Packer -- 1st Shift

Packing Position SummaryThis position is responsible for packing rolled finished product to ensure efficient production of high-quality products.First Shift: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.Key ResponsibilitiesWork safely utilizing a working knowledge of LOTO, PPE, and other safe work practicesPacking rolls of material after machinedTrack and label finished products manually and electronicallyCommunicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and maintenance to resolve issuesSet priorities to match the importance of job assignmentsParticipate in continuous improvement projects and teamPhysical RequirementsEmployees must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Standing up to 8+ hours a day, twisting, bending and squatting,EducationMinimum High School Diploma or GEDExperiencePrior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.This role requires basic computer proficiencies, attention to detail, a desire to work in a collaborative team atmosphere, and the ability to perform duties with minimal direction.OtherLegal authorization to work in the US is required.
