Senior Data Analyst
Oscar is working with a leading investment firm that is looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join their team.All candidates should make sure to read the following job description and information carefully before applying.As the Sr Data Analyst, you willplay a key role in improving and scaling the company's investment data and reporting capabilities. This position combines technical expertise with deep knowledge of investment data to deliver reliable, efficient, and scalable data solutions.Key Responsibilities:Design and build scalable, automated processes for collecting, transforming, validating, reconciling, and reporting investment dataSupport investment data product development, including gathering requirements, writing user stories, and participating in user acceptance testing (UAT)Help shape product roadmaps to align data capabilities with business needsMaintain and improve data infrastructure, including pipelines, data models, and centralized data repositoriesEnsure smooth integration of data across systems to support reporting, analytics, and operationsMonitor data flows from internal and external sources, identify issues, and implement improvements to enhance data quality and efficiencyCreate dashboards and reports to support oversight, financial analysis, and strategic decisionsAct as a subject matter expert on investment data systems and provide guidance to stakeholdersCollaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Investment Management, Risk, Accounting, Treasury, Technology) and external vendors to support data initiativesStrengthen data governance by maintaining data dictionaries, metadata, and documentationRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field5+ years of experience in financial services, with hands-on experience in investment data management and solution designStrong track record of improving processes to increase efficiency, reduce manual work, and manage riskProficiency in SQL, especially working with large datasets and database designExperience supporting product management activities, including requirements gathering and UATBackground in data processing, reconciliation, reporting, and system integrationAdvanced Excel skills (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)Understanding of financial markets and instruments, particularly fixed income and risk analyticsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced xywuqvp environmentStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesPreferred Qualifications:Experience with data pipelines and cloud platforms, especially AWSFamiliarity with data visualization tools such as Power BIProgramming experience in Python, R, or similar languagesExperience with financial systems such as BlackRock Aladdin, FactSet, or ClearwaterStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExperience working in Agile environmentsCFA designation or progress toward certificationRecap:Location: West Chester, PA (Hybrid)Type: Permanent FulltimeSalary: 140k-150k base + BenefitsIf you think you're a good fit for the role, we'd love to hear from you!
