This role ensures high‐quality, secure, scalable, and user‐centered digital experiences that support organizational goals. The developer collaborates closely with designers, content teams, product owners, and IT leadership to deliver modern, accessible, and high‐performing web solutions.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nDrupal Development & Architecture\r\nDevelop, configure, and maintain websites using the latest versions of Drupal (9/10/11).\r\nBuild custom modules, themes, and integrations following Drupal best practices.\r\nImplement and maintain content types, views, taxonomies, blocks, and menus.\r\nEnsure code quality through version control, peer reviews, and adherence to coding standards (Drupal Coding Standards, PSR‐4, Composer workflows).\r\nSite Maintenance & Enhancements\r\nPerform regular updates, security patches, and module upgrades.\r\nTroubleshoot and resolve site issues, performance bottlenecks, and compatibility problems.\r\nOptimize websites for speed, accessibility (WCAG 2.1+), SEO, and mobile responsiveness.\r\nMaintain documentation for configurations, custom code, and deployment processes.\r\nIntegration & API Development\r\nBuild and maintain integrations with third‐party systems (REST, API, GraphQL, SSO, CRM, payment gateways, etc.).\r\nWork with cloud hosting environments (Acquia, Pantheon, AWS, Azure) to deploy and manage Drupal applications.\r\nImplement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments.\r\nCollaboration & Project Support\r\nWork closely with UX/UI designers to implement modern, user‐friendly interfaces.\r\nPartner with content editors to improve workflows, permissions, and editorial experience.\r\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives).\r\nProvide technical guidance and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).\r\n3–5+ years of experience developing with Drupal (including Drupal 9/10/11).\r\nStrong proficiency in PHP, Twig, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design.\r\nExperience with Composer, Drush, Git, and modern development workflows.\r\nKnowledge of MySQL/MariaDB and database optimization.\r\nExperience with cloud hosting platforms (Acquia, Pantheon, AWS, Azure).\r\nUnderstanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG), security best practices, and performance optimization.\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nExperience with headless or decoupled Drupal architectures.\r\nFamiliarity with React, Vue, or other modern JavaScript frameworks.\r\nExperience with Docker or containerized
