This position will work closely with our CEO, COO, and the Fractional CFO to support the financial health, reporting, and strategic growth of the company. The ideal candidate will have experience within the architecture, engineering, or professional services industry and possess strong knowledge of project-based accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and operational processes.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nOversee all day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, billing, and general ledger activity.\nManage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and related reporting.\nCollaborate with leadership and the Fractional CFO on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial strategy.\nMonitor project financial performance, utilization, WIP, labor multipliers, and profitability reporting.\nDefine Key Performance Indicators with management guidance and reporting on those KPI on monthly basis\nPrepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Hybrid Accounting Standards.\nLiaise with external accountants, auditors, insurance providers, and banking institutions as needed.\nOversee payroll, tax compliance, and benefits-related financial administration.\nAnalyze financial data and provide recommendations to leadership regarding financial performance and operational efficiencies.\nParticipate in system improvements, reporting enhancements, and accounting process optimization initiatives.\nManage and support accounting staff while fostering a collaborative team environment.\nMaintain confidentiality and accuracy with all financial and employee-related information.\nContribute to additional accounting and finance team efforts as needed.\n\nSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE\n\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. A Master’s degree or CPA designation preferred but not required.\nMinimum 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the architecture, engineering, or professional services industry.\nProven experience with ERP/accounting systems required, specifically Unanet or another comparable system such as Deltek or Unanet.\nStrong understanding of project-based accounting, WIP management, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.\nExperience preparing financial statements in accordance with Hybrid Accounting Standards.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.\nStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and offices.\nExperience working with outside organizations, including external accountants, insurance, employee benefits, and banking to achieve company strategic goals.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience managing and developing direct reports.\nHigh attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.\n\nBENEFITS\n\nOpportunity to work on diverse and exciting projects across multiple practice areas.\nSupportive and collaborative work environment.\nCompetitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, and vision, 401(k) matching, commuter benefits, PTO, and paid company holidays.\n\nAbout Ci Design, Inc.\nCi Design, Inc.
