We deliver OM&S services to PTR bombing and gunnery (B&G) ranges and electronic warfare (EW) ranges, supporting remote threat emitters, mission data processing, range communications, weapons impact and electronic combat scoring.\nWe are currently hiring a General Maintenance Worker to perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, welding and electrical work at our facilities supporting the Electronic Scoring Site in Snyder, TX.\nThe basic duties include (but are not limited to):\nOperate farm tractors, riding lawn mowers, weed eaters, chain saws, wood chippers and other similar equipment if required.\nWork involves mowing grass, and conducting general weed control, ether mechanically or by use of herbicide if licensed, at main site and remote locations.\nGeneral cleaning and maintenance.\nMoving dirt or clearing brush as needed.\nReplacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors; using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets; painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks; replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles; hanging doors and installing door locks; replacing broken window panes; and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.\nOperate heavy equipment and machinery in a safe and effective manner.\nOperate tools and use supplies in a safe and efficient manner.\nMaintain all tools and equipment assigned in good repair.\nStore tools and supplies in a safe manner with a neat appearance.\nPerform preventive maintenance inspections daily and documents all maintenance.\nAssist in the operation and repair of road gates and night lighting systems.\nPerform house and grounds keeping as well as other duties as directed.\nPerform maintenance and construction to include but not limited to, mowing, plowing, filling,\nSupplement or assist other labor categories IAW CBA.\nPerform range maintenance.\nPerform grounds maintenance, housekeeping, window washing and janitorial duty.\nPerform all additional duties as instructed by management (IAW CBA).\nWork Conditions:\nPerforms work indoors and outdoors.\nRange maintenance, in particular, requires long periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching and lifting in an outdoor environment.\nMust be able to climb ladders, work in elevated areas and confined spaces and have the capability to work on high voltage and radio frequency circuits.\nMust be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted and 50 – 100 lbs. with assistance.\nJob demands will require physical dexterity and flexibility.\nMust be physically able to sit, stand, kneel and climb.\nIs subject to high noise levels and vibration.\nRequired to work under stress.\nOvertime will be required at times to support operations.\nRequirements:\nEducation/Experience/Skills:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (required).\nMust be a self-starter, with the ability to work with little to no supervision.\nBasic knowledge of applicable building and safety code requirements, methods and practices followed in the maintenance of tools, machinery and equipment (required).\nEffective oral and written communication skills (required).\nMust be able to read, understand and follow operator manuals (required).\nPresent professional appearance and demeanor (required).\nUnderstand and adhere to policies and procedures (required).\nExperience in firefighting, construction, or vehicle maintenance (useful but not required).\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure (required).\nCertificates in FEMA I-100, S-190, S-130 (can be obtained on-site, if needed).\nMust be able to provide own transportation to and from work.\nTexas Pesticide Applicators License preferred.\nAll candidates will be required to pass a consumer report and/or consumer investigation to include SSN, Driver Record and Criminal Background Investigation.\nCurrent Class B Texas Driver’s License is required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.\nU.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to hire date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.\nAll candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.\n________________________________________________________________________________\nWorking at SA-TECH:\nAs a highly regarded DoD employer, SA-TECH recognizes that our success is indicative of our team members' hard work and dedication towards a common goal… Supporting our Warfighters.
