In this hands-on role, you'll own machine setups and edits, first article inspections, tool changes and offsets, and the day-to-day adjustments that keep our CNC operation running smoothly and efficiently. You'll also program as needed and play a key part in keeping our machines productive and our parts to spec.\nIf you take pride in precision work, like solving problems on the floor, and want to keep growing your programming skills, we'd like to hear from you.\nWhat You'll Do\nSet up and edit CNC machines to print specifications — mounting fixtures, components, and castings, and making the adjustments needed to run jobs exactly to spec\nPerform first article inspections and review finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy, shutting down a machine when product doesn't meet print specs until the issue is resolved\nLoad and unload parts to and from fixtures, confirming the correct parts and fixtures for each job\nInspect parts and machines regularly and keep your supervisor informed about rejected parts, scrap, and machine issues\nProgram as needed and continue developing your programming skills\nMonitor the machining process continuously to maintain quality\nKeep machines properly maintained on schedule, documenting and reporting any problems or breakdowns immediately\nKeep your work area clean and organized to prevent chip build-up and coolant spills\nFollow all safety procedures, wear required PPE at all times, and flag any safety concerns to your supervisor or manager\nKeep the Production Manager informed of anything affecting production, employee relations, or the company\nOther related duties as assigned\nWhat We're Looking For\nHigh school diploma preferred, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a CNC horizontal milling environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience\nProven experience performing setups and edits\nPrevious success with programming and an ongoing desire to learn\nKnowledge of CAD/CAM software (Creo, Pro-M), G-Code Editor, or the ability to learn\nSolid working knowledge of hand tools and machining processes\nExperience with machine shop inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)\nAdvanced math skills\nStrong computer skills\nMechanically inclined, with good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity\nLathe experience is a plus\nPhysical Requirements\nAble to lift up to 60 lbs\nAble to work extended hours in a standing position\nMay be required to become forklift-operator certified\nYou'll Thrive Here If You Are\nSomeone with a strong sense of urgency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
