Customer Service Supervisor (Internal Only)

Customer Service SupervisorWinpak Portion Packaging is seeking a Customer Service Supervisor to join our Customer Service, Logistics, and Planning team based out of Sauk Village, Illinois in a 100% onsite role. In this position, you will lead day-to-day customer service operations, support a team of coordinators, and serve as a key partner to Production and Shipping to help ensure customer needs are met with accuracy, urgency, and professionalism. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer service leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys improving processes, solving problems, and developing people.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily customer service activities to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality support to customers and internal stakeholders.Monitor escalated customer issues and drive prompt resolution while maintaining a high level of service.Partner closely with Production and Shipping to establish effective shipping schedules and improve delivery performance.Proactively communicate risks, service concerns, and operational challenges to cross-functional teams.Review and approve pricing authorizations in alignment with company guidelines.Lead, coach, and support a team of coordinators by fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback to support employee growth and performance.Assist with the development, implementation, and training of standard operating procedures to improve consistency and efficiency.Support department goals, follow up on key requests, and contribute to ongoing operational success.Required QualificationsAssociate degree in Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.5+ years of experience in customer service, order management, logistics support, or a related function. This should include experience leading or supervising a team.Experience working in a fast-paced environment that requires strong prioritization and follow-through.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems effectively, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners.Preferred QualificationsExperience in a manufacturing, packaging, supply chain, or production-driven environment.Experience supporting shipping coordination, delivery schedules, or customer order fulfillment.Experience improving workflows, standard operating procedures, or team processes.Prior experience handling escalated customer issues and balancing service needs with operational priorities.Additional DetailsThis is a full-time, 100% onsite position based in Sauk Village, Illinois.Work is performed in a professional office setting with frequent communication and regular computer use.The role may require occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 15 pounds.The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a deadline-driven environment and partnering across departments to keep operations running smoothly.Why Winpak?Winpak is committed to providing comprehensive benefits to support the physical, mental, financial, and social well-being of our employees and their families.
