Apply via Dice today!Mechanical/Dimensional EngineerIntroduction: As a Mechanical/Dimensional Engineer on the team, you will support the development and production of state-of-the-art mechanical designs, structures, mechanisms, and sensor integration solutions that will create transformative experiences for Virtual and Augmented Reality users. You will work with a diverse cross-functional team of engineers and scientists to explore new concepts through analytical modeling and fast iterative prototyping. This role involves working on cutting-edge technologies and driving concepts into prototypes that could transition into high-volume consumer products.Responsibilities:Lead or contribute to geometry control solutions, including 3D dimensional analysis and datum coordinationLead tolerance analysis and GD&T development efforts with the design teamCollaborate with cross-functional teams to generate concepts and detailed designsApply rigorous variation simulation modeling to solve challenging design problemsContribute to robust measurement plan execution by supporting gage R&R studies, authoring/reviewing MSOPs, and collaborating with metrology teamsRequirements:Minimum Qualifications:BS in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent experienceExperience developing 3D variation simulation analyses using software packages such as Siemens VA (VisVSA), 3DCS, CETOL5+ years of industry/academic experienceIn-depth knowledge of manufacturing techniques (machining, 3D printing, injection molding, etc.)Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5), tolerance analysis, and associated metrologyExperience working on design teams throughout the product lifecyclePreferred Qualifications:5+ years of dimensional engineering experience, specifically with application of GD&T and development of 3D variation simulation analyses3+ years working on high-volume products in industries such as consumer tech, automotive, aerospace, etc.Experience with 3D CAD modeling (NX preferred)Experience creating scripts or algorithms to support measurement data analysis and assembly simulation requirementsKnowledge of Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Gage R&R, and statistical methodsExperience using statistical software such as Minitab, Quantum XL, JMPLocation: Any Infosys Hub Location (Hybrid: 3 days a week)Duration: 6 months (possibility of an extension)Infosys Hub Locations: Bridgewater (NJ), Franklin (TN), Hartford (CT), Houston (TX), Indianapolis (IN), Lisle (IL), Milwaukee (WI), Raleigh (NC), Richardson (TX), Tempe (AZ), San Ramon (CA), Roger (AR), Providence (RI), Charlotte (NC), Bellevue (WA)
