ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Maintain sales excellence: • Answer your phone and respond to emails in a timely manner. • Become an advisor to your customers. • Develop deep product expertise to aid/correct your customers during the quote and ordering process. • Develop your own relationships with customers and vendors. • Understand who are your top customers and prioritize your workload according to your customer rankings. • Cultivate key vendor partnerships. • Meet order/quote deadlines: • Return material quotes and order acknowledgements immediately after completing an order/quote. • Communicate turn-around times to your customers when possible. • Contribute to the profitability of the business: • Work with management on margin improvement. • Inform management of pricing discrepancies.
