Together, we advance your career.\r\nThe Role\r\nIn this position, the Firmware Technical Program Manager will be responsible for leading the management and execution of server platform programs firmware development, issue investigation and validation efforts throughout the product lifecycle, driving firmware and software design and development activities from product specification definition, feature scoping, down to implementation, and enable the OEM/ODM partners TPM for customization design, production readiness, and deployment.\r\nThe Person\r\nMust be a technically strong, self-driven technical program manager with a deep understanding of firmware. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who can work across hardware, firmware, and operations teams to drive execution and deliver data-based results in fast-paced environments.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nWork closely with AMD system and functional TPMs to translate product specifications into program firmware deliverables.\r\nLead cross-functional teams to develop and introduce products against system level schedule for meeting critical phase exit criteria and TTM objectives.\r\nLead requirement definition planning, development, and launch.\r\nManage BIOS/BMC feature implementation plan based on the product specification, and drive the feature enhancements, quality improvement support and transition from validation test software into scripted test tool for specific functional team.\r\nWork with security architects, firmware teams, and customers regarding security requirement feature development, security enablement and deployment flows.\r\nSupport the execution of firmware validation progress against development schedule, which can include test case enhancement, raw data collection and analysis, diagnostics tool, and management of associated vendors for failure analysis activities.\r\nEnsure the product firmware solution design can support manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability.\r\nPreferred Experience\r\nExperiences with firmware development using C/C++.\r\nFamiliar with firmware development model for BIOS and/or BMC, and communication process with vendor for bug triage.\r\nExperience with Test Tools Development including scripting for automation.\r\nIn depth knowledge of PCIe, SPI, USB, xGMI, SAS, SMBus, PMBus, IPMI, REST interfaces.\r\nExtensive background in systems-level design processes from board level to system level.\r\nHands-on interoperability testing on both In-Band and Out-of-Band.\r\nGood understanding of x-86 server system architecture.
