If you're passionate about building scalable, high-performance database solutions and have the communication skills to translate business needs into effective data strategies, this is an opportunity worth exploring.Job Details:Job Type: ContractLocation: US Remote (ET Working Hours)Compensation: $50 – 60 per hourVisa Sponsorship: Not availableWhat You'll Do:Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines within an Enterprise Data Warehouse environment, focusing on the People and Learn domain.Collaborate with software developers, source data teams, and business stakeholders to analyze requirements and build database solutions that support key organizational processes.Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot database performance—identifying bottlenecks, resolving issues, and ensuring scalability and reliability across systems.Implement database security measures, including user access controls and data encryption, and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.Partner with business stakeholders to validate data scenarios and translate business use cases into effective, scalable data solutions.What Gets You the Job:6–9+ years of hands-on database engineering experience, with strong proficiency in Snowflake and AWS (particularly AWS Glue).Advanced SQL skills with proven experience in query optimization, indexing strategies, and database performance tuning.Experience with major database platforms such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL, along with solid data modeling and schema design skills.Knowledge of database security best practices, backup/recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning.Strong business acumen and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and solve practical business use cases through data.Ready to build something meaningful with your data engineering skills?
