This individual will be measuring and cutting material to produce pre-cut tube. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.\nCombination of specified designs and measurements, appropriate component parts, cutting, and welding systems to produce pre-cut tube.\nMaintenance of raw material inventory (plate, channel, tube, angle, etc.).\nMovement of raw material to and from saw area.\nMaintenance of saw, saw tables, saw blades, rollers, etc.\nAssurance of secure material handling through safety cross-checks.\nWorking Conditions:\nPrimarily on the floor/in the work, could be exposed to elements (heat, snow, etc.)\nMay sit or stand for several hours at a time.\nRepetitive use of hands to operate machinery.\nQualifications:\nHigh school degree or GED.\nMust be able to operate appropriate equipment including band saws, tape measurers, etc.\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.\nAbility to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.\nCompetencies:\nMust be able to work as a part of a team to achieve the company’s overall demand.\nMust be able to work as a part of a team to achieve the company’s overall goals.\nBasic computer skills needed to post-production tags onto the system.\nMust demonstrate clear verbal and written communication skills (English).\nMust be able to read and process written communication including, but not limited to, work orders, frame prints, and measurements.\nMust be able to meet production goals and time deadlines for company projects.\nMust be able to work with minimum supervision.\nMust demonstrate welding competency and knowledge of welding systems.\nMust be able to rotate to other splice or production welding positions as the need arises or as is deemed necessary.\nMust possess successful problem-solving skills.\nMust be able to exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow team members, customers, etc.\nMust be able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations.\nMust be able to prioritize and easily adapt to changes through the day.\nSupervisory Responsibility:\nThis role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.\nPhysical Demands:\nWhile performing duties of the job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active – while performing this job the team member is regularly standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The team member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the team member works around moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, and conveyer roller lines.
