Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Pacific International has been exclusively retained by a specialty chemical manufacturer in their search for an EHS ManagerThe company is seeking a hands-on leader to oversee all Environment, Health and Safety programs at one of their top revenue-producing facilities. The site has a history of strong performance, and they are looking for a leader that can standardize processes and sustain a strong safety culture.ResponsibilitiesPractices and re-enforces all site safety policies, guidelines and proceduresProvides daily guidance and direction in EHS programs to all employees, contractors and supervisorsManages key environmental programs, recordkeeping, reporting, and permittingParticipates in emergency response drills and critiquesSupports Corporate EHS initiativesConducts regular walk-through of all work areas to identify hazards, evaluate controls, recommend improvements, communicate with associates, and record appropriatelyDetermines safety best practices and trains individuals and teamsPartners cross-functionally to accomplish all regulatory training and related activities to employees and contractorsLeads and tracks incident investigations to identify root causes and drives corrective action efforts to prevent reoccurrenceMaintains and updates Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for all safe work practices and equipmentManages required reporting relative to local, state, and federal regulatory agenciesInterfaces directly with outside regulatory agencies and works with Site Director and Corporate EHS to respond to regulatory inquiriesManages the Workers Compensation process with the appropriate vendor to achieve proper communication, management of claims, and quality carePrepare and manage the EHS budgetPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree an engineering, science, or related discipline5+ years of experience in EHS2-3+ years of experience in a leadership position / experience owning EHS functionsAbout Pacific International:Pacific International, a globally recognized retained executive search firm, is dedicated to empowering Fortune 500, FTSE 100, and high-growth enterprises in building exceptional C-suite, senior-level, and strategic leadership teams while championing diversity and inclusion.
