This role helps ensure classrooms operate smoothly, teachers receive consistent guidance and support, and families experience clear communication and strong relationships with the program.\nWorking closely with the Program Director, this position plays a significant role in guiding and mentoring Lead Teachers, supporting curriculum implementation, and maintaining a high-quality early childhood learning environment.\nThe Assistant Director also collaborates with the Operational Lead to ensure classroom operations align with administrative systems such as enrollment, documentation, and program communication.\nKey Responsibilities\nStaff Supervision and Lead Teacher Guidance\nSupport the Program Director in supervising teaching staff and mentor Lead Teachers\nStrengthen classroom leadership, routines, and organization\nObserve classrooms and provide constructive feedback\nGuide developmentally appropriate teaching strategies\nSupport assistant teachers and aides for consistent supervision\nHelp design engaging, exploratory classroom environments\nAssist with behavioral concerns, transitions, and family communication\nIdentify professional development needs\nReinforce program policies and supervision standards\nDaily Program Operations\nSupport daily classroom coordination\nMonitor teacher-child ratios and Title 22 compliance\nAssist with staffing and substitute coverage\nRespond to operational challenges\nMaintain safe and organized environments\nCurriculum and Program Development Support\nSupport play-based curriculum implementation\nHelp design learning centers and classroom environments\nAssist with organizing and rotating materials\nSupport child observation and documentation\nAssist with parent-teacher conferences and assessments\nFamily Communication and Support\nEnsure clear communication with families\nSupport positive relationships with families\nAssist with addressing concerns\nSupport family engagement events\nLicensing Compliance and Program Safety\nSupport Title 22 compliance\nEnsure safe supervision and ratios\nMaintain organized documentation\nAssist with licensing inspections\nCoordination with Operational Lead\nAlign classroom operations with administrative systems\nCommunicate staffing, supply, and facility needs\nMaintain communication between staff and administration\nReporting Relationships The Assistant Director reports to the Program Director and collaborates with the Operational Lead.
