The restaurant cook must be able to successfully focus on their job in a calm, yet efficient manner.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:\nEnsure that each guest has a positive, long lasting impression of the Wingstop\nexperience\nAbility to practice safe cooking procedures\nQuickly scan and comprehend the order tickets\nAccurately count the number of Bone-In Wings, Boneless Wings and Boneless\nStrips needed for each order\nCoordinate the cooking time of Bone-In Wings, Boneless Wings and Boneless\nStrips and fries with the corresponding timer\nAccording to Wingstop standards; Sauce, Season and package all orders\nAccurately count the cooked Bone-In Wings, Boneless Wings and Boneless\nStrips into the proper sauce bowls\nCook and prepare Bone-In Wings, Boneless Wings and Boneless Strips, and\nFries in the proper fryers and baskets\nFilter and freshen the fryer shortening daily, following all safety procedures and\nwith proper safety equipment\nAssist in keeping the kitchen clean throughout the shift maintaining clean as you\ngo and at closing time\nImmediately notify Manager on Duty of all safety, sanitation, or employee issues\nAssist other employees as needed\nFollow directions given by Manager or Supervisor\nKnow and thoroughly understand the importance of good hygiene and food\nhandling practices\nAbility to thoroughly understand and follow instructions in how to properly and\nsafely use chemical cleaning products\nKey Skills/Abilities:\nGuest service mentality; has a genuine desire to serve the customer\nMaintains a calm, tactful demeanor when dealing with difficult situations\nManages multiple projects and timelines with a sense of urgency and follow\nthrough\nWell organized and detail oriented\nOngoing learner; exhibits insatiable curiosity and an interest in self improvement\nHas an outgoing personality\nStrong work ethic\nAdditional Information:\nCook and restaurant experience is a plus!\nFood Handler Certification required\nBenefits:\nEmployee discount\nFree meals\nFlexible schedule\n\nExperience:\nProfessional cooking: 1 year (Preferred)\nCooking: 1 year (Preferred)\nLine cook: 1 year (Preferred)\nDisclaimer:\nThe above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; and is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required for the position.\n\nWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
