Housekeeper

The Village at Penn State, located in State College, PA, is one of the area’s premiere senior living communities and currently has a great opportunity in an awesome work environment, for a Full-time Housekeeper! Schedule Details Full Time only 7:00am - 3:30pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm Works one weekend every 5 weeks Job Responsibilities: Demonstrate knowledge and relevant experience in the day-to-day responsibilities of Housekeeping, as well as a thorough understanding of the positive impact this role plays in the overall resident satisfaction across the whole community. Communicate (both verbally and written) effectively with customers, management, and staff, while exhibiting excellent customer services skills. Work directly with the Housekeeping Supervisor and Environmental Services staff to meet operational goals and customer needs. Perform assigned duties in the areas of general housekeeping including but not limited to common areas, restrooms, corridors, offices, apartments, cottages, stairwells, etc. Demonstrate ability to perform tasks such as dusting, damp wiping, furniture and fixture cleaning, wood cleaning, vacuuming, and glass cleaning. This includes winter as well as summer housekeeping needs. Perform assigned duties in the area of project cleaning. This includes but is not limited to tile floor refinishing, carpet extraction and spotting, window cleaning, vent and diffuser cleaning, light lens cleaning, etc. Requirements High school graduate or GED preferred Prefer one year of housekeeping experience.
