CMS Platform owns the systems for composing and presenting content across Circle, including our Page Builder experience and forms, plus laying the groundwork for future AI-first interfaces.\n\nYou’ll work across product-facing experiences (editing, previewing, publishing, layout, components) and the backend systems that make them possible (content models, rendering/publishing pipelines, permissions, and performance). If you enjoy turning ambitious product ideas into polished, scalable systems, this role is for you.\n\nWhat you'll be doing\n\nBuild and ship Page Builder features that directly impact how customers design and publish their sites.\n\nWork across the stack using React & TypeScript (frontend) and Ruby on Rails (backend).\n\nPartner closely with product/design to translate specs into high-quality, user-friendly experiences.\n\nImprove the architecture of the builder/editor and publishing pipeline for reliability, extensibility, and performance.\n\nOwn projects end-to-end—from technical design through implementation, testing, rollout, and iteration.\n\nReview PRs thoughtfully and contribute to a culture of quality and continuous improvement.\n\nWork async-first and communicate clearly and proactively.\n\nWhat you'll need to be successful\n\nStrong alignment with our values. Find our values on our career page if you haven’t read up on them yet.\n\n5+ years of experience building and scaling SaaS products.\n\nDeep experience with Ruby on Rails and strong proficiency with React & TypeScript.\n\nA product mindset—you care about the “why,” sweat UX details, and iterate based on customer needs.\n\nExperience building complex, stateful UI (editors, builders, or design tools) and/or the systems behind them.\n\nSolid architectural judgment and a high bar for quality, balanced with pragmatism.\n\nComfort working with and alongside AI tools in your development workflow.\n\nExcellent async communication and collaboration skills.\n\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (CEFR C2 or equivalent), as most collaboration at Circle happens asynchronously.\n\nBonus points\n\nExperience working on site builders, page editors, or CMS platforms.\n\nExperience with rich text/content editing, drag-and-drop interactions, component systems, or design tooling.\n\nFamiliarity with web performance, caching strategies, and scaling high-traffic rendering/publishing systems.\n\nPrior experience at an early-stage or growth-stage startup.\n\nContributions to open-source projects or developer communities.\n\nCompensation & benefits\n\nCircle offers U.S.-benchmarked compensation globally, equity in the company with ongoing refresh grants, and 35 days of paid time off each year.\n\nWe’re a remote-only team that comes together twice a year for company retreats in incredible destinations around the world.
