This role serves as a technical resource within the engineering team, independently leading medium-to-large complexity projects while providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers.\n\nThe Electrical Engineer III applies advanced electrical engineering principles to develop innovative solutions, troubleshoot complex technical issues, improve product performance, and support manufacturing and quality objectives. The position works with limited supervision and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Product Management, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, develop, test, and validate electrical, electronic, and embedded systems.\nLead electrical engineering activities for new product development and product enhancements by way of phase-gate development framework.\nDevelop analog, digital, power distribution, sensor, control, and communication circuitry.\nCreate and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and technical documentation.\nPerform circuit simulation, prototyping, system integration, and functional testing of components and integrated systems.\nAnalyze and resolve complex electrical and system-level issues.\nConduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.\nResearch and develop prototypes to proactively address emerging trends within the Telecommunications industry.\nSupport regulatory compliance and product certification activities including UL, FCC, CSA, TIA, ISO/IEC and other applicable standards.\nCollaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) requirements.\nSupport manufacturing processes related to assembly and test of sub-assemblies and finished goods.\nEvaluate and approve alternative or second-source of components.\nParticipate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations.\nSupport engineering change management and continuous improvement programs.\nDevelop test methods, validation protocols, engineering reports and product specifications.\nMentor Associate and Engineer-level team members and provide technical guidance.\nInterface with suppliers, customers, and external engineering partners as required.\nTravel occasionally to manufacturing facilities, suppliers, or customer locations.\nQualifications:\nSkills - Technical\nAdvanced knowledge of applying analog and digital circuit design concepts to high-volume consumer electronics.\nUnderstanding of power electronics and control systems.\nExperience with microprocessors, embedded systems, and firmware interaction.\nProficiency with ECAD tools such as Altium Designer or equivalent for schematic and layout creation.\nKnowledge of electrical testing equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and data acquisition systems.\nUnderstanding of EMI/EMC mitigation techniques.\nExperience with engineering analysis and simulation tools.\nFamiliarity with DFMEA, PFMEA, reliability, and risk analysis methodologies.\nKnowledge of applicable electrical, safety, and regulatory standards.\n\nSkills - Behavioral\nAbility to lead, manage, motivate, and mentor team members to drive towards success and foster a culture of excellence.\nAbility to work well in a team environment which fosters collaboration and cooperation.\nStrong problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions.\nAbility to think critically and make informed decisions to optimize performance.\nEnsure accuracy in work product, documentation, and processes to maintain high standards.\nTake initiative to address potential issues or concerns before they escalate to ensure smooth operations.\nAbility to conduct thorough research to create well-informed and credible content and decisions.\nEducation & Experience:\nBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required\nMinimum 4 years’ experience required\nExperience leading engineering projects from concept through commercialization.\nExperience in conceptual design, manufacturing techniques, and materials.\nExperience with product validation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of consumer electronic products with technologies that are commonly found in IoT (networking, wireless, Microprocessor, digital design, etc.).\nExperience researching, navigating and interpreting technical standards published by international and regional standards bodies.\nExperience working in cross-functional project teams.\nTravel:\nUp to 10%; both domestic and international travel required\nWhat We Offer:\nComprehensive benefits include:\nMedical (with an HSA option), Dental, Vision and Rx coverage beginning the 1st day of the month following your start date\n401(k) Program with employer matching contributions.
