Candidate shall have a minimum of 8 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar. Candidate shall have proficiency in Microsoft Office Productivity Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook). SE Licensure Preferred.\nWe offer excellent benefits including unlimited PTO.\nThis role is open to fully remote candidates. We also offer hybrid and onsite opportunities.\nCandidate will work within a team of engineers. They should be able to work independently on all design aspects of projects, work with other disciplines to manage projects effectively, and manage the production and delivery of documents. Engineer may work on several concurrent projects. Ability to provide mentoring and guidance for colleagues a plus.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills, effective problem‑solving skills, strong organizational and decision‑making skills are required. Ability to work on multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment is key. Participation in internal office collaboration and the external professional community is encouraged.\nMinimum Qualifications B.S. in Civil Engineering from ABET‑accredited school.\nPrior work experience in the building/consulting industry\nMinimum of 8 years previous industry experience.\nLeadership and Project Management Knowledge.\nPE licensure- SE licensure preferred.\nExcellent communication skills- verbal and written\nDesired Skills & Experience Shear Connection Design\nMoment Connection Design\nEngineering Software familiarity\nPosition Responsibilities Opportunities to become involved in internal office and external business development efforts.\nKnow all AISC connection design concepts and be familiar with AISC Steel Construction Manual.\nBe able to visualize connection load paths, and come up with appropriate formulas for any connection that is presented.\nBe willing and able to utilize new technology and methods for connection design.\nDesign all connections on a project, from start to finish, utilizing Rex methods and technology.\nDesign misc. metals such as stairs and railings.\nReview Design software for compliance with steel codes.\nBe responsible for complete design projects of all sizes.\nMake major design recommendations and design decisions with little input.\nPlan design work and assign duties to staff working on projects.\nEffectively serve as a Project Manager on large complex projects or multiple smaller projects.\nIdentify prospective clients, assist in marketing to develop new clients and prepare proposal services.\nParticipate in presentation to clients.\nAbout REX REX Engineering Group is a fast‑growing company, looking for individuals who want to help shape our firm.
