They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.Job OverviewThe Project Controls Coordinator IV is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of project controls processes for large-scale Engineering and Construction capital projects. This role leads project controls planning, integrates cost and scheduling functions, and ensures the quality, accuracy, and consistency of all project controls deliverables. The PCC IV supports complex, multi-year capital projects with annual budgets exceeding $100 million, providing leadership in project execution planning, performance reporting, change management, and project lifecycle governance. This position serves as a key liaison between project teams and project controls functions to drive effective project delivery and informed decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate the development and maintenance of the overall Project Execution Plan.Develop, maintain, and oversee project controls deliverables, including:Cost Reports and Cost Variance AnalysisCash Flow Reports and Variance AnalysisSchedule Reports and Schedule Variance AnalysisProject Change Management ProceduresProject Controls PlansMonthly Progress ReportsIntegrate cost control and scheduling functions to ensure a cohesive and efficient project controls framework.Define project controls resource requirements and support staffing strategies for assigned projects.Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews of all project controls deliverables to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.Lead the coordination and collection of project documentation and deliverables for Phase Gate Review meetings throughout the six-phase project lifecycle.Monitor project performance and provide analysis, recommendations, and reporting to support project objectives and stakeholder decision-making.Collaborate with project teams, functional groups, and leadership to improve project controls processes, procedures, and tools.Provide feedback and recommendations based on project execution experience to enhance project systems, methodologies, and best practices.Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project controls, scheduling, cost management, reporting, and governance.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.Minimum of 12 years of project controls, project management, or related industry experience.Professional Engineer (P.Eng./P.E.) designation and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale, complex, multi-year capital projects.Strong knowledge of project controls principles, including cost management, forecasting, scheduling, reporting, and change management.Experience integrating cost control and scheduling functions within a project environment.Familiarity with project lifecycle methodologies, phase gate processes, and project governance frameworks.Knowledge of industry best practices related to project scheduling and cost control.Ability to work effectively within a matrix organizational structure and collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently with minimal supervision.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Server.Experience supporting pipeline, facility, industrial, energy, infrastructure, or other large capital construction projects is considered an asset.Looking for meaningful work?
