Job Title: Outside Sales/ Territory Manager
Do you have experience in the Steel Industry and would like to expand your career into sales? JMS is looking for a highly self-motivated Outside Sales/ Territory Manager to join our Outside Sales Team in our Decatur, AL facility. Base salary plus bonus potential.
Essential Job Functions:
Essential responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Utilize special skills to promote the company’s products and increase customer base
Make calls to potential and existing customers to sell the company’s products and services
Build and maintain customer relationships
Setup and maintain new and established customer data base
Monitor technical and business objectives of prospective customers
Responsible for negotiating and preparing material bids for significant clients by setting pricing and profit margins and formulating all plan details
Provide purchasing feedback as it relates to inventory levels, dead stock and new product evaluation
Maintain working knowledge of product lines
Negotiate skillfully and achieve acceptable profit margins in order to increase company’s profits and maintain company’s over-all financial health
Responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction
Work closely with supporting staff to see orders through to correct and timely fulfillment
Report customer issues immediately and provide customer support to resolve complaints and problems, while maintaining good relationships
Monitor quality control
Provide leadership and maintain open lines of regular communication between all sales staff
Participate in trade shows, conferences, training and PR events periodically
Actively participate in training to increase sales skills and product knowledge
Participate in on-call schedule
Participate in inventory physical counts
Qualifications & Experience
3-5 years outside sales experience required
Steel Industry experience REQUIRED (Please clearly highlight your steel experience on your resume)
Valid driver’s license and good driving record
