New Business Specialist - Personal Lines

*PLEASE NOTE: This is a hybrid position that will require up to 3 days/week in our Vero Beach, FL office.We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented New Business Specialist (NBS) to join our Personal Lines team. This is a salaried, production-focused role responsible for quoting, presenting, and binding new business while delivering a high-touch client experience.The New Business Specialist will work primarily from inbound and internally generated leads, with a strong focus on cross-selling and rounding out accounts. This role also supports internal producers by quoting business and assisting in the placement of new accounts.Your Impact:Sales & Lead ManagementWork assigned inbound leads and office-generated opportunitiesQuote, present, and bind new personal lines businessIdentify coverage gaps and proactively cross-sell additional linesMaintain consistent follow-up and pipeline activityQuoting & Producer SupportQuote new business opportunities for both direct clients and internal producersShop multiple carriers to ensure best placement and coverageMeet expected quote turnaround times (typically 24–72 hours)Systems & Workflow ExecutionManage leads, pipeline, and activity in SalesforceUtilize QuoteRush for comparative quotingMaintain accurate documentation in AMS360 and WorkSmart in accordance with agency SOPsUnderwriting & Carrier KnowledgeApply and follow all carrier underwriting guidelines across Florida marketsAccurately assess risk and ensure proper documentation prior to bindingStay up to date on carrier appetite, guidelines, and product offeringsAccount Rounding & GrowthActively cross-sell and round out household accountsSupport agency growth initiatives through coverage expansion and retention strategiesSuccessful Candidates Will Have:Active Florida 2-20 or 4-40 license (required)Experience quoting and binding personal lines insurance (Home, Auto, etc.)Strong understanding (or willingness to learn) Florida carrier underwriting guidelinesExperience with Salesforce and QuoteRush preferredHighly organized with strong attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentStrong communication and follow-up skillsBrown & Brown, Inc. and our team of companies is an equal opportunity workplace and is committed to ensuring equal employment opportunity without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, Veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics.
