This effort focuses on providing a comprehensive set of System/ Software Engineering and IT Services to maintain, sustain, enhance, and improve/ modernize MARS. This position will be located in the National Capital Region.\n\nPlease note that this is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated decision expected by Winter/ Spring 2026.\n\nThe Database Administrator responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nOversees the strategy, deployment, and management of complex, high-security database systems within MARS\nConducts advanced troubleshooting and performance optimization. Leads disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure data availability\nDevelops and enforces strict database policies and best practices\nProvides expert mentorship to junior database administrators\nCoordinates with IT teams to integrate database solutions within broader MARS systems\nKeeps current with emerging database technologies and trends to drive continuous improvements\n\nQualifications\nActive TS/SCI with Polygraph\nOne of the following certifications: CompTIA Security+, Cloud+, SecurityX/ CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, or GSEC\nBachelors degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering and 14 years or more relevant experience (will consider an additional 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)\nAdvanced database management, performance tuning, data integrity, backup and recovery operations, high-level maintenance and upgrades, and compliance auditing\nProficiency with various DBMS, familiarity with operating systems, and experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams\n\nTarget salary range: $80,001 - $120,000.
