The Academic Programs intern is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of program events at AEI and on college campuses, compiling internal surveys, and aiding the team in preparation for upcoming Summer and Winter Honors Programs. Other responsibilities might include researching college campuses, managing databases, and providing logistical support for events hosted in Washington, DC, and virtually. Strong candidates will demonstrate familiarity with and an appreciation for AEI, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and an interest in today's pressing public policy issues. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, report writing, social media, and database management is preferred but not necessary. Candidates who are able to participate in the program on an in-person basis for 25-40 hours per week are encouraged to apply.\r\nAbout AEI Internships\r\nAEI internships offer a unique opportunity for undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates to gain experience in research, writing, business, and communications at one of the nation's leading think tanks.\r\nCompetitive candidates will generally have a GPA of 3.5 or higher from a top-ranking college or university. AEI's internship program runs for 12 weeks and all related programming will take place in-person in Washington, DC.
