This position loads aggregate materials into cold feed bins, maintains stockpiles, assists with inventory management, and supports overall plant production. The operator is expected to perform daily equipment inspections, maintain a safe work environment, and contribute to the efficient production of quality asphalt products.\n\nJOB DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nOperate a front end loader safely and efficiently to support asphalt plant production.\nLoad aggregate materials into cold feed bins while maintaining proper material flow.\nBuild, maintain, and manage aggregate stockpiles to prevent contamination.\nMonitor inventory levels and communicate material needs to plant management.\nPerform daily pre-operational and post-operational equipment inspections.\nConduct routine maintenance, including greasing, fueling, and checking fluid levels.\nReport equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, and maintenance needs promptly.\nMaintain clean and organized work areas around the plant and stockpile locations.\nAssist with general plant maintenance, housekeeping, and labor duties as needed.\nFollow all plant traffic patterns, operational procedures, and safety requirements.\nWork closely with plant operators, truck drivers, mechanics, and supervisors.\nComply with all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and operating procedures.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nKNOWLEDGE\nKnowledge of front end loader operation and safe equipment practices.\nUnderstanding of aggregate materials and stockpile management preferred.\nKnowledge of workplace safety procedures and hazard recognition.\nFamiliarity with preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.\nAbility to identify equipment issues and communicate effectively with supervisors and maintenance personnel.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred.\nMinimum of one (1) year of experience operating a front end loader or similar heavy equipment preferred.\nExperience in asphalt production, aggregates, mining, construction, or related industries preferred.\nValid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nStrong communication and problem-solving skills.\nDependable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.\nMust pass a pre-employment drug screen.\nPHYSICAL ACTIVITY\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.\nFrequently sit while operating heavy equipment for extended periods.\nRegularly climb, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach.\nFrequently enter and exit equipment using ladders and handholds.\nOccasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.\nWork outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, dust, and noise.\nAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, reflective vest, and steel-toed boots.\nAbility to safely work around moving equipment, vehicles, and industrial machinery.\nBENEFITS & EOE\nOverland Corporation offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:\nMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance\nLife Insurance\n401(k) with Company Match\nEmployee Stock Purchase Program\nPaid Time Off\nPaid Holidays\nEmployee Assistance Program\nTraining and Career Development Opportunities\nOverland Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
