Because there’s too much at stake to go solo.\nOur Test Team is seeking a Verification Software Engineer to extend and maintain our existing Python-based test automation framework for advanced radio systems. You will develop new test capabilities, implement automated test cases, and contribute to the evolution of our established automation infrastructure while working in our state-of-the-art test labs. Through this dedication to unity and professional advancement, each team member is directly impacting the successful outcome of TrellisWare's deliverables and setting the tone for our core values of delivering excellence, pushing boundaries, and empowering people.\nThe essential duties and responsibilities include:\nDevelop automated test cases using our established Python test automation framework\nExtend framework capabilities by adding new test libraries, fixtures, and utility functions\nImplement RF measurement automation using our existing equipment abstraction layers (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers)\nCreate validation scripts for wireless protocol verification, performance benchmarking, and regression testing\nAutomate CI/CD test workflows integrating with our existing pipeline infrastructure\nDebug and maintain existing automated test suites, improving reliability and execution speed\nDevelop data collection and reporting capabilities within the framework\nEducation and work experience requirements are:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field\n5+ years developing test automation using Python\n3+ years working with established test frameworks (pytest, unittest, or custom frameworks)\n2+ years experience in wireless/communications or embedded systems testing.\nTo be considered for this position:\nRequired qualifications\nPython & Automation\nStrong Python proficiency (pytest, unittest, OOP) with ability to read, understand, and extend existing codebases\nProven experience developing automated test cases within established frameworks\nEquipment automation via SCPI/VISA APIs and CI/CD integration\nGit version control and collaborative code review experience\nWireless/RF Domain:\nUnderstanding of wireless communications (modulation, protocols, RF measurements)\nHands-on experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers)\nNetworking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, socket programming)\nEmbedded Linux command line and remote system interaction (SSH, serial)\nTechnical Skills:\nLinux proficiency and Bash scripting\nTest result analysis and debugging automated test scripts\nJIRA or similar issue tracking systems\nUnderstanding of agile software development lifecycle\nProfessional Attributes:\nStrong collaborative mindset and team-oriented approach\nProactive problem-solving and attention to code quality\nEffective written and verbal communication\nSelf-motivated with continuous learning attitude\nContinuous learning attitude\nPreferred qualifications\nTactical radios or MANET systems experience\nDocker, SQL databases, protocol analyzers (Wireshark)\nPrevious contributions to shared test frameworks\nThe physical demands described here represent those that must be met in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
