For salaried student positions, contact the department for pay information.Duration of Appointmentacademic yearMaximum Scheduled Weekly Hours1Job Description SummaryThe new Advanced Manufacturing Hub in Hamilton, OH is hiring 3-5 undergraduate students for 100% on-site, hands-on roles assisting with equipment deployment, research, & laboratory operations across various technical disciplines. AM Hub is a 70,000 square foot facility consisting of 11 labs with room to grow. The results-oriented role requires a minimum of 6 hours onsite per week, a strong commitment to understanding lab-specific safety procedures, & reminding lab occupants (students, visitors, partners, etc.) of safety procedures. Duration is semester-based with the potential for extension.Preferred candidates are teachable, familiar with machining, have a passing grade in MME 231, and/or have reliable transportation to & from 101 Knightsbridge Dr, Hamilton, OH 45011.Job DescriptionEssential DutiesSoftware: Computer-Aided Drafting, Computer-Aided Manufacturing, Inventory lab equipment.Provide support for divisional/departmental services.Provide supervisory functions including, but not limited to, scheduling, determining training needs, preparing training materials, and conducting training sessions.Work is done independently of supervision.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesDemonstrate evidence of advanced technical skills, training, professional management, & mentoring.Work performed is highly complex and requires extensive training (either coursework or in-house departmental training).Minimal qualifications:Minimal knowledge required, as there will be training.Additional Position Information (if applicable)To ApplyPlease apply on Workday & attach a brief resume (max 1 page) outlining:A statement of interestRelevant coursework, technical skills, etc.An example of how you manage complex & time-sensitive projectsa consistent weekly availability of 6 hours minimumApplications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until positions are filled.
