This is not a configuration-only role: you will be expected to design the architecture, defend it in technical reviews, and personally write the code that low-code tools cannot. You will pivot fluidly between low-code configuration and custom development to solve complex integration and performance challenges, orchestrating data flows across Dynamics 365, Power Apps, SharePoint Online, Dataverse, and Azure.\nKey Responsibilities\nSolution Architecture\nOwn solution architecture for Power Platform engagements: environment strategy (dev/test/prod, DLP policies, Managed Environments), ALM strategy, and Application Lifecycle governance.\nDesign Dataverse data models that balance normalization, performance, and long-term maintainability; document entity relationship diagrams and integration architecture.\nEvaluate build-vs-buy and low-code-vs-pro-code tradeoffs, and present architecture decisions and risk tradeoffs to technical leads and government stakeholders.\nDefine and enforce coding standards, branching strategy, and solution layering (managed/unmanaged solutions, ALM pipelines) across the development team.\nConduct architecture and code reviews; identify performance bottlenecks (API throttling, Dataverse query plans, plugin execution pipeline) and design remediation.\nActive Development\nLead development and maintenance of high-traffic Power Pages portals, Model-driven Apps, and complex Canvas Apps.\nDesign and implement complex Dataverse plugins, custom workflow activities, and custom APIs/actions in C#.\nPro-Code Implementation\nUtilize C#/.NET and the Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) to extend platform functionality beyond native control limitations.\nWrite custom scripts using Liquid, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Bootstrap; build reusable JS libraries/web resources for Model-driven Apps.\nDevelop custom connectors and virtual entities/tables where native connectivity is insufficient.\nAI & Analytics\nBuild and embed Power BI reports (DAX/M) for actionable data insights, including composite/DirectQuery models against Dataverse.\nDevelop and configure Copilot agents in Copilot Studio, including custom prompt engineering, topic orchestration, and integration with Dataverse/external APIs via plugins and connectors.\nCRM & Ecosystem Integration\nDesign and build complex, resilient integrations between Dynamics 365 and other data sources (REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven patterns via webhooks and the Dataverse Event Framework).\nLeverage Salesforce experience to facilitate data migrations, cross-platform interoperability, and coexistence strategies during transitions.\nSystem Integration\nBuild and maintain backend automation using Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, and Azure Functions to integrate Dataverse, SharePoint Online, and external APIs.\nDesign for resilience: error handling, retry logic, idempotency, and monitoring/alerting across integration points.\nData Modeling & Security\nConfigure Dataverse schemas, business rules, calculated/rollup fields, and complex security models (Business Units, Security Roles, Web Roles, Table Permissions, column-level security) to meet strict DoD/GCC compliance standards.\nDesign row-level and field-level security models that scale across multi-tenant or multi-agency environments.\nAuthentication & Lifecycle\nImplement secure external authentication (Azure AD B2C, custom identity providers for Power Pages).\nManage the end-to-end development lifecycle, including solution packaging, environment promotion, and automated deployments via Azure DevOps pipelines (YAML-based CI/CD preferred).\nRequired Qualifications\nSecurity Clearance: Active DoD Clearance is mandatory.\nCertifications: PL-400 (Microsoft Power Platform Developer) is required. PL-600 (Power Platform Solution Architect) is highly preferred and strongly signals fit for this role's architecture scope.\nExperience: 10+ years of total software development experience, with at least 5+ years specifically in the Power Platform (Power Pages, Dataverse, Power Automate, Power Apps), including demonstrated experience serving as or alongside a solution architect on multi-workstream implementations.\nTechnical Foundations: Proven professional background as a Full-Stack or .NET developer, with the ability to read and reason about complex existing codebases, not just build greenfield solutions.\nPlatform Proficiency: Hands-on experience integrating Dynamics 365, SharePoint Online, and Power Pages, including at least one large-scale, high-traffic portal implementation.\nCross-Platform Exposure: Practical experience with Salesforce architecture or development, particularly in environments requiring platform interoperability.\nFront-end Skills: Advanced proficiency in Liquid, JavaScript, HTML5, and Bootstrap.\nPreferred Skills\nCustom Development: Extensive experience with C#/.NET for the Power Apps Component Framework (PCF), custom plugins, and custom Dataverse APIs.\nAI & Data: Advanced experience with Power BI (DAX/M) and Copilot Studio (custom prompt engineering and agent orchestration).\nDevOps: Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for automated ALM, including solution checker integration and automated testing (Easy Repro, Playwright, or equivalent).\nFederal Context: Prior experience working within the Government Community Cloud (GCC/GCC High) or equivalent federal regulated environments.\nArchitecture Artifacts: Experience producing solution architecture documentation, ERDs, and integration design documents for government technical reviews.\nTechnical Environment\nPlatform: Power Pages, Power Apps (Canvas & Model-driven), Power Automate, Dynamics 365, Copilot Studio.\nData & Content: Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint Online, Azure SQL, Power BI.\nCloud: Azure Logic Apps, Azure AD B2C, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps.\nExternal/Legacy: Salesforce (interoperability/migration).\nPay: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year\nBenefits:\n401(k) 4% Match\nAD&D insurance\nDental insurance\nDisability insurance\nFlexible spending account\nGreen card sponsorship\nHealth insurance\nHealth savings account\nLife insurance\nPaid holidays\nPaid time off\nPrescription drug insurance\nVision insurance\nWork Location: Remote","company":"Epmpoint","rawCompany":"epmpoint","city":"Washington","state":"DC","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-08-04T21:19:51.827Z","occupations":[{"code":"15-1252.00","title":"Software Developers","slug":"software-developers"},{"code":"15-1299.08","title":"Computer Systems Engineers/Architects","slug":"computer-systems-engineers-architects"},{"code":"15-1254.00","title":"Web Developers","slug":"web-developers"}],"industries":[{"code":"541511","title":"Custom Computer Programming Services","slug":"custom-computer-programming-services"},{"code":"541512","title":"Computer Systems Design Services","slug":"computer-systems-design-services"},{"code":"513210","title":"Software Publishers","slug":"software-publishers"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Senior Power Platform Developer","description":"No Third Parties and No C2C, Only direct W2 candidates\nRole Summary\nYou will be our primary pro-code developer and de facto solution architect for Power Platform engagements, owning technical delivery end-to-end - from solution architecture and environment strategy through custom code, integration, and production support.
