In this role, you will need to be familiar and have experience with design-bid-build programs/projects in the public sector, preferably NYC. You will provide leadership and project controls expertise. In addition, you will work closely with the client, team members, project managers, sub-consultants, and project stakeholders to successfully lead all aspects of Project Controls. Your duties may include but not be limited to development, implementation, and enforcement of project controls procedures, schedules, budgets, work breakdown structures, workflows, reports, preparation of presentations, and monthly reporting. Other responsibilities will include participating in meetings, coordinating with in-house client personnel to establish project controls requirements, working with the program scheduler and contractors to develop, update, and maintain schedules and budgets, preparing time impact analysis, and analyzing delays and delay claims, when applicable.\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nStrong communications, both oral and written.\nStrong construction project controls skills in cost, budget management, contract management, and reporting.\nDevelop and maintain successful relations with all stakeholders to efficiently and effectively meet project goals and objectives\nDirect staff and set and be accountable for project deadlines\nAnalytical and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail\nProvide support and leadership to the Project team for Cost, Schedule, and Risk Management\nExperience in all aspects of the project, including scope development, change/claims negotiations, cost control, staff management, and quality control\nExcellent skills with Microsoft Office Suite, CMiC, Primavera, Procore, Oracle Unifier, BIM, and other database driven systems\nEstablish and maintain work plans to forecast project financials and compare against budgets, including earned value analysis as required\nAbility to functionally coordinate with both internal and external business processes and to blend the requirements of both\nOversee auditing of contract documents\nDesign, update and maintain various project-specific reports as required\nContract Close-out\nChange Order documentation, review and estimating\nUnderstanding of construction and construction means and methods\nStrong negotiation skills\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree (BA/BS) (engineering or construction management a plus)\n10 plus years experience in project controls/program controls/construction management; experience on multiple sides of the business (i.e., consultant, owner, owner rep, contract/architect, contractor, engineer) a plus\nStrong communications skills\nStrong PMIS skills required\nRespond effectively to the most sensitive issues\nWrite reports using distinctive style; assist in developing effective and persuasive presentations\nKnowledge of financial terms and principles, and ability to conduct financial/business analysis, including the preparation of reports\nSound judgment and reasoning ability, enabling problem-solving with a variety of options in varying situations\nCulture, transparency, and leadership are the hallmarks of Group PMX\nMinimum of 5 years of experience as Project Controls Manager is desirable.\nStrong knowledge of financial systems and procedures\nField experience preferred\nOne Team.
