To accomplish this, the Sub Assembler will review the daily requirements, work instructions, and bill of materials via i-Pad to locate and gather the needed components, and then the parts are staged, prepped and assembled.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\n\nPerform final assemblies of door orders and manufactured parts per the daily production schedule.\nSub Assembler will serve as a floater helping out in side coulumns assembly, panel prep assembly, and any other areas as needed to help fill in production needs.\nRead and follows blueprints, work orders, and other instructions in order to build and assemble parts in an accurate and timely fashion.\nPull stock components (small parts, hardware, and weldments).\nEnsure the quality and accuracy of the manufactured parts.\nInspect final assemblies and move to staging area.\nKeep area clean and organized.\nMonitor stock levels.\nTroubleshoot issues that may arise.\n\nSafety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:\n\nAbility to work the 2nd shift of Monday - Thursday from 3:00pm - 1:30am.\nBasic mechanical assembly background.\nHigh attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.\nAbility to perform repetitive tasks requiring dexterity and endurance.\nAbility to prioritize work load and to manage more than one task simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.\nMust be able to read and use standard tape measure as well as other measuring tools.\nMust be familiar with operating a variatla of power tools, and hand tools such as impact drill.\nAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:\n\nAbility to lift 25 - 50 pounds occasionally.\nAbility to squat, kneel and stand frequently.\nThis position is exposed to dust/dirt frequently and fumes, vapors and mists occasionally.\nThis position is in a manufacturing environment where the noise level is high.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\n\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nAbility to read and interpret reports, work instructions and blueprints is prefered.\nElectrical assembly expereince is a plus.\n\nBenefits\n\nRytec Corporation, a Nucor company, supports its teammates and is proud to offer industry-leading benefits to its teammates.
