As a key contributor, you will help drive AMD's ability to deliver industry-leading technologies and high-quality products to market.\n\nTHE PERSON:\n\nThe ideal candidate possesses an innovative and problem-solving mindset, has a keen eye for software design and development, and is diligent and passionate about technology. A successful candidate will bring strong software engineering expertise, software architecture and system design skills, and the ability to design scalable, maintainable, and extensible solutions that integrate closely with datacenter hardware platforms. They will also serve as a technical mentor to junior engineers, fostering technical growth and best practice adoption. Additionally, strong knowledge of datacenter-scale hardware and technologies such as CPUs, GPUs, DPUs, and network switches will help the candidate succeed.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nDevelop and drive execution of comprehensive, highly effective software for sophisticated new technology and new product introduction projects\nValidate new software features before releasing them to customers\nWork directly with customers to support and enable the manufacturing process\nContribute to a high-functioning feature team\nCollaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support them\nContribute to the design and implementation of scalable, durable, and innovative software architectures for next-generation datacenter systems\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting engineering excellence and best practice adoption\nWork closely with development teams and project managers to drive results\nUp to 25% travel\n\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\n\nExperience developing production-ready code in languages such as Python, C, Rust, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Shell/Bash, or PowerShell\nServed as a technical mentor to junior engineers, driving knowledge transfer and best practice adoption\nSolid experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Containerd, and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes or Slurm\nDeep understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems\nHands-on experience with system board interfaces (I2C, PCIe, IPMI, and Redfish) and network communication protocols (TCP/IP and UDP)\nStrong understanding of software architecture, design principles, patterns, and best practices, with the ability to design scalable and maintainable software systems\nPrevious experience in hyperscale computing environments or datacenter platform infrastructure is a significant plus\nFamiliarity with manufacturing processes and technologies is a plus\nExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment\n\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\n\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline\n\nLOCATION: Secaucus, NJ\n\nThis role is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.\n\n#LI - TL1\n\nQualifications:\n\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\n\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
