Our engineers provide stable and efficient cloud, recovery, storage, and network platforms to run their multiple service offerings on. These engineers are life-long learners that aim to inspire each other to continue to learn, innovate, and grow together utilizing the latest technology and the best practices to help clients customers optimize IT spend, maintain data protection, ensure business continuity, improve performance, close their IT skills gap, modernize their IT, and discover cloud-enhanced innovation.\n\nResponsibilities\nLeverage our depth of experience with infrastructure engineering to provide full lifecycle managed services, driving value for our clients.\nMaintain responsibility for the design, deployment, and maintenance of production-scale systems across multiple application and infrastructure vendors.\nDesign, build, test, and deploy highly scalable and resilient applications within various internal and public clouds.\nSupport multiple infrastructure services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, lifecycle management, capacity management, testing, quality assurance, and release management.\nUse automation to streamline the provisioning, management, and monitoring of applications and services using multiple scripting languages, and infrastructure-as-code.\nCoordinate with Service Delivery, Development, and Infrastructure Engineering teams to design and implement zero-downtime deployment approaches, real-time logging, alerting, monitoring solutions, and code instrumentation.\nMonitor application performance and maintain observability over key metrics for various infrastructure workloads and services.\nBuild reusable automation following vendor best practices and guides.\nCreate and maintain client design documentation (diagrams, runbooks, etc.)\nRelentlessly work as a team to automate the undifferentiated heavy lifting associated with incident, configuration, change, and problem management.\nHave familiarity with one or more data center infrastructure platforms and APIs such as Storage (NetApp, Pure, etc), Network (Cisco, Arista, Juniper, etc), Recovery (Commvault, Veeam, Zerto, etc), Cloud/Virtualization (VMware, KVM, Proxmox, Nutanix, Azure, AWS, etc).\nProvide recommendations on workload optimization, cost reduction opportunities, architecture, and design changes.\nProvides quality internal and external customer service surrounding company values.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nEssential Functions\nCustomer service focused who portrays energy, professionalism, and a welcoming character.\nStrong ability to work in a highly sensitive and confidential environment.\nAbility to meet deadlines and handle sensitive and pressured situations.\nAbility to identify issues and help develop strategy and tactical plans for various department initiatives.\nAbility to use good judgment and decision-making skills.\nAbility to use a PC, keyboard, and other standard office equipment.\n\nQualifications / Requirements\nHands on experience in one or more public clouds and/or experience with web applications, virtualization technologies, operating systems, databases, networking, security, or software development.\nIntellectual curiosity with an innate ability to learn and new technologies.\n5+ years of hands-on progressive IT experience.\nExperience with Configuration Management technologies (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)\nInfrastructure-as-Code experience using Ansible, Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, ARM Templates, etc.\nExperience collaborating across cross-functional technical teams to deliver a project.\nExperience with version control software, including Git (GitHub, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, etc.)\nExperience with programming languages (Python, BASH, Java, Ruby, Go, Javascript, Typescript, etc.)\nExperience with logging solutions (ELK, Aria Logs, Splunk, Sumo Logic, Datadog, etc.)\nExperience with monitoring and visualization systems and tools (ScienceLogic, Grafana, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)\nHands-on experience collecting performance data, analyzing, troubleshooting, and tuning.\nAn understanding of ITIL best practices in a service provider setting.\nPassion for working in an internal and external customer facing setting.\nAdequate professional experience and knowledge to perform Job Responsibilities\nExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to prioritize and organize effectively.\nAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously.\nAbility to work both independently and with others.\nAbility to operate in a fast moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with specific deadlines.\nProficiency in using MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer applications.\n\nPreferred Experience\nPrior experience particularly in the managed services data center industry.\n\nWorking Conditions\nRemote or office environment.\n\nWork Location : Saint Louis, MO.
