This is a full-time role in Greenbelt, MD.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n\nCollaborate with mission stakeholders to ascertain their highest risks and hardest problems; team with Aerospace, Contractor, and Government contributors to mitigate these risks and solve these problems.\n\nProvide technical leadership to flight and/or ground system concept, architecture, design, development, integration, test, operations, and/or sustainment.\n\nWork with Aerospace’s Engineering and Technology Group to develop proofs of concept and prototypes to demonstrate innovative solutions.\n\nSupport pertinent data collection, analysis, evaluation, anomaly identification, resolution, and risk assessment.\n\nAssist customers with system performance tracking at the enterprise level.\n\nAssist the Government to plan, manage, and execute programs and projects.\n\nReport regularly to SMD customers and Aerospace senior management, focusing on results and impact.\n\nWhat You Need to be Successful\nMinimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in engineering, science, or equivalent, and 12+ years of progressively responsible professional experience with credible success in areas such as:\n\nSpacecraft, Instrument, and/or Ground Systems Engineering\n\nMission Readiness and/or Flight Operations for Spaceborne Missions\n\nScience and/or operational data processing, distribution, and archival\n\nCivil or military application of spaceborne data (e.g., weather forecasts, crop production)\n\nProgram and/or Project Management\n\nWilling to travel occasionally (approx. 10%) and to work on-site at NASA GSFC or the Aerospace office in Greenbelt, MD. This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.\nHow You Can Stand Out\nAdvanced degree(s) in engineering, physical science, or equivalent technical discipline; Proven track record of solving complex, ill-defined problems; Outstanding communication skills (listening, writing, and presenting).\n\nCompensation and Benefits\nWe offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. Pay range: Min - Max $151,300.00 - $226,900.00.
