Linux or Unix System Administrator with Security Clearance

Peerless is searching for a highly skilled Mid-Senior Level Software Engineer who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced, secure environment. The ideal candidate will be a Linux or Unix-focused technical expert and a go-to resource for the team, capable of managing multiple efforts simultaneously while contributing to the design, development, and sustainment of scalable software solutions. This work must be in person in the Dayton Ohio area RequirementsUS citizen with TS/SCI clearanceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 5+ years of professional software development experienceActive Security+ certificationStrong experience with Linux or Unix systems (required)Proficiency in: Linux or Unix administration, User and application support, Networking fundamentals, Bash and/or PowerShell scriptingExperience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutionsExperience supporting software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release cyclesExperience performing testing activities (Sprint Testing, FAT, V&V, UAT)Familiarity with ICD 503 security controls and PCIDS configuration standards Preferred QualificationsExperience with Windows administration and system patchingExperience with SIEM tools, preferably SplunkExperience supporting DoD or classified environmentsAbility to serve as a key technical contributor and team resourceStrong communication and documentation skills Work EnvironmentOn-site position only (secure environment), No remote or telework options available
