The Program Manager will be responsible for overall contract execution and will serve as SteerBridge’s primary point of contact for the government customer.\nThis individual will oversee contract financials, staffing, schedules, deliverables, quality, risk, subcontractors, compliance, and performance reporting. The ideal candidate will have direct contractor-side experience managing federal contracts—not solely government acquisition oversight or general operational leadership.\nThis position is contingent upon SteerBridge receiving the contract award.\nKey Responsibilities\nServe as SteerBridge’s primary point of contact for the Contracting Officer, Contracting Officer’s Representative, government Program Manager, and other customer stakeholders.\nMaintain overall responsibility for contract performance, cost, schedule, staffing, quality, risk, and customer satisfaction.\nDirect program planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, and closeout activities.\nManage contract budgets, forecasts, invoicing, cost controls, financial performance, and profitability.\nMonitor contract requirements, performance standards, deliverables, milestones, and reporting deadlines.\nLead recruiting, onboarding, staffing, retention, performance management, and personnel allocation across the program.\nEnsure that personnel meet contractual labor-category, clearance, education, certification, and experience requirements.\nDevelop and maintain program management plans, schedules, risk registers, staffing plans, status reports, and other contract deliverables.\nImplement and oversee the Quality Control Plan and ensure compliance with contract requirements.\nPrepare for and participate in government performance reviews, program reviews, and contract-status meetings.\nMonitor and support CPARS performance by ensuring timely, compliant, and high-quality contract execution.\nManage subcontractors, consultants, and vendors, including performance, deliverables, invoicing, and contractual compliance.\nCoordinate with corporate leadership, recruiting, human resources, finance, contracts, security, and operations.\nIdentify program risks and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.\nMaintain compliance with applicable federal acquisition requirements, company policies, and security procedures.\nSupport contract modifications, change management, scope analysis, and customer requests.\nProvide concise and accurate reporting to government and SteerBridge leadership.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in business, program management, finance, logistics, engineering, public administration, or a related field.\nPMP certification in active status.\nSignificant experience managing federal government contracts or task orders as a contractor Program Manager.\nDemonstrated responsibility for contract staffing, financials, deliverables, schedules, quality, risk, and customer relationships.\nExperience managing multidisciplinary teams in a complex federal environment.\nExperience developing and managing contract budgets, forecasts, invoices, and cost controls.\nDemonstrated experience overseeing subcontractors or teaming partners.\nKnowledge of federal contracting requirements and FAR/DFARS-based contract execution.\nExperience supporting government performance reviews, CPARS, contractual reporting, and corrective-action planning.\nStrong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work onsite or hybrid in the Washington, DC/Northern Virginia area, based on final contract requirements.\nPreferred Qualifications\nActive Secret or TS/SCI clearance.\nExperience supporting Headquarters Marine Corps, the Department of the Navy, or another Department of Defense organization.\nExperience managing classified federal contracts.\nExperience managing contracts valued at $20 million or more.\nExperience overseeing multiple subcontractors, task orders, or geographically dispersed teams.\nFamiliarity with Quality Control Plans, CDRLs, integrated master schedules, earned value management, and formal government program reviews.\nMaster’s degree in business, public administration, program management, or a related discipline.\nProposal-Contingent Notice\nThis position is being recruited in support of an upcoming federal proposal.
