CNC Operator

CNC OperatorJoin a dynamic team in a leading metal manufacturing company that specializes in producing high-quality parts for the automotive and high-end kitchen appliance industries. As a CNC Operator, you will play a crucial role in operating and adjusting CNC Mills and Lathes to perform a variety of machining operations. Responsibilities Operate and adjust CNC Mills and Lathes (Haas and other machines) for a range of machining operations including drilling, reaming, tapping, milling, turning, and boring. Inspect products using various gauges such as micrometers, bore gauges, and thread gauges. Enter and read input and output numbers on a computer. Lift up to 5 pounds of metal into and off of the machine. Essential Skills Minimum 6 months of machine operating experience. Proficient in the use of calipers and micrometers. Experience with CNC, CNC lathe, and CNC mill operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications At least 1 year of machining experience in a manufacturing setting (brake press, laser, punch press, turret, CNC). 1+ year of experience using micrometers and calipers for quality inspection. Work Environment Work in a large, bustling facility with approximately 700 employees. The environment is loud and requires adherence to a dress code of steel-toed shoes, jeans, and t-shirts without rips or holes. Shifts are structured as follows: 1st shift runs from 6am to 2pm, 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm, and 3rd shift from 10pm to 6am. Expect to work every other Saturday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Janesville, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.50/hr.
