Sanitation Helper
I. Position DescriptionThe purpose of this position is to keep the employees free from unnecessary lead exposure and clean and sanitize the common areas so that no one is exposed to hazardous materials.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Be a safe and productive workerClean and sanitize respirators.Clean & sanitize offices (administrative and common areas), bathrooms, wash areas, eating areas, hallways, stairs, locker rooms & meeting rooms.Find and fix employees’ respirator issues.Maintaining hygiene supplies for employees of the facilityMonitor and control personnel traffic in work area.Other duties as assigned.PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS:Good verbal and written communication skillsJanitorial experience preferredOrganizational skillsPossess a valid US Driver’s LicenseHigh School Diploma or GEDAble to perform physical laborAuthorized to work in the United StatesPOST HIRE TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:Learn to operate tenant and floor machineRelated on the job trainingEnvironmental health and safety training applicable to the jobSafety training for applicable equipmentGator TrainingMobile Cart TrainingISO 9001 familiarizationISO 14001 awareness, objectives and targets, department significant environmental impactsLEAN JTE awareness, objectives, targets and participationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
