PRYER Aerospace is a leading provider of structural components, assemblies and kits to the aerospace industry. We specialize in the fabrication of complex sheet metal and machined components for commercial, corporate and military aircraft.\n\nThe Quality Engineer provides a high level of leadership and support of Quality department personnel. Will incorporate processes to assure products are procured, designed, manufactured, tested and shipped in accordance with customer and internal QMS requirements.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nPrimary interface for customer, industry and internal quality audits\nInitiate internal process and compliance audits.\nDrive level I & II CARs including reporting of correction action effectiveness with objective evidence.\nCreate quality plans for new products.\nMonitor QMS process parameters and reporting to management.\nImplement and revise procedures and support process improvement teams as CI champion.\nInitiate surveys for supplier approval, perform remote supplier audits, track performance and generate SCAR's.\nResponsible for oversight of all non-conforming activities including NCR, DMR, RMA and NOE.\nOversight of document control, calibration processes of both measuring instruments and equipment and periodic checks of production tooling.\nSupport the company and department business goals and objectives for Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Attitude (QCDSA).\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\n\nQualifications\n\nEDUCATION: Minimun of Associate's degree in manufacturing or quality related field required. Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred. Direct experience as a Quality Engineer may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.\nEXPERIENCE:\n2+ years working experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.\n2+ years working as an inspector in a manufacturing environment.\nUnderstanding of ISO9001 & AS9100, SPC Implementation.\nLean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma background preferred.\nKnowledgeable in blueprint reading, modeling, GD&T and DPD/MBD\nCOMPUTER SKILLS: Intermediate computer skills utilizing spreadsheets, MRP systems, and other computer software relative to the Quality function.\n\nOTHER REQUIREMENTS:\nMust be able to pass a vision test.\n\nPryer Aerospace is committed to providing a benefits package that strives to meet the needs of its employees and their dependents.
