Job Description:For a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.GME Core Faculty Physician in Corvallis, OROpportunity in Corvallis, OR- Eugene 45m- Portland 80mFull Time, Permanent PositionEmployed OpportunityFamily Medicine Residency Program is recruiting for a core faculty physician Family Medicine core faculty members have a multitude of responsibilities related to clinical delivery and academic is expected that the core faculty member allocates 60 percent of their time, 24 hours per week, to residency core faculty duties (academic) and 12 hours per week of patient scheduled practice (clinical).Academic Job Specifics:- Provide adequate levels of supervision to residents in the clinical setting appropriate to their level of competency and training.- Collaborate with the Program Director to ensure that the administration of the residency program is within accreditation standards, that residency graduates are eligible for board certification, and the program is utilizing resources in a prospective and cost-efficient manner.- Curriculum development, coordination and implementation and presentation of didactics and educational sessions- Facilitate the majority of these educational conferences with contributions from other family medicine faculty, community faculty members or specialty faculty as appropriate- Engage in any or all areas of scholarship and promotion of inquiry.Faculty members will contribute to the advancement of the discipline of family medicine, developing a reputation in an area of interest at the regional and national level.- Participate in Faculty Development (Identity, Growth and Empowerment) that involves regularly scheduled designed to enhance the effectiveness of teaching, administration, leadership, scholarship, clinical, and behavioral components of faculty members performance.Clinical Job Specifics:- Well-established team of full-time clinicians including behavioral health- Obstetrics and/or Inpatient Medicine experience is preferred but not required- See approximately 18 patients per day- EPIC EMR- Phone call onlyJob Requirements:Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine PhysicianShould possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team oriented.Eligibility to work in the United StatesBoard certified or board eligibleBenefits and compensation:Compensation to exceed $600,000Employment bonusRelocation assistanceCME allowanceMedical/dental/vision/disability/life/wellnessRetirement plansAbout the area:Nestled in the heart of the Willamette Valley, Corvallis is an ideal location to work, live and raise a family.Within easy driving distance of mountains, rivers and the famed Oregon Coast, opportunities abound for outdoor enthusiasts such as camping, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking and skiing. xevrcycAs an added bonus, Oregon's two largest cities and cultural centers- Portland and Eugene- are close by.Meanwhile, the tree lined city of about 55,000 residents has earned the reputation as one of the best cities in the nation to call home
