NYHER Operations Coordinator

About the RoleThe NYHER Operations Coordinator provides cross-functional support to the HRSN Services, Program Services, and Finance teams in the daily operational activities related to the New York Health Equity Reform (NYHER) program, also known as the 1115 Waiver. Reporting to the Director of Population Health, this position will help coordinate key activities to ensure the efficient and effective operations of Health-Related Social Needs (HRSN) services across departments, while interfacing and communicating with external stakeholders, such as representatives from the Social Care Networks (SCNs) and other organizations conducting work under the NYHER program. The NYHER Operations Coordinator will keep up to date on new requirements established by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and the SCNs, and will assist in the dissemination and implementation of these requirements across the teams supporting the NYHER program at God’s Love.Position Objectives and ExpectationMaintain updated knowledge on the NYSDOH requirements provided in the SCN operations manual and track changes and report out to affected business areas on changes that impact operations related to the 1115 WaiverOversee the coordination of daily activities that support the operations of the HRSN Services, Program Services, and Finance team and act as a liaison between departments to ensure cross-functional collaborationAssist in the organization, tracking, and monitoring of initial and ongoing training, and ensure all SCN requirements are met for the onboarding of employees into the SCN's platformsParticipate in weekly meetings organized and led by the SCNs and report back to the internal teams about key updates and important details that impact operational activitiesSupport the finance team in the timely submission of invoices and the resolution of issues impacting billing for services renderedAct as a point of contact for God’s Love in communications with the SCN staff and support follow-up actions with both internal and external stakeholdersCommunicate with Social Care Navigators regarding members who are receiving services to ensure the timely completion of authorizations to facilitate service deliverySupport the maintenance and follow up on risks, assumptions/actions, issues, and decisions/dependencies (RAID) identified and documented by God’s Love staff, and the timely completion of activities to ensure the resolution of any necessary items identifiedAssist in the submission of supporting documentation and reauthorizations related to health-related social needs services rendered for Medicaid beneficiaries under the 1115 WaiverProvide guidance and subject matter expertise to God’s Love staff on NYHER program activities, including but not limited to member eligibility requirements, services provided, and internal workflowsSupport the creation and timely submission of reports and data, both internally and to the SCNs, related to services provided and outcomes/performance metrics tied to infrastructure paymentsPerforms other duties and responsibilities as assignedAbout YouYou are highly motivated and empathetic, with a strong desire to provide support to clients living with a serious illness. You are looking for a collaborative, team-oriented environment, and you enjoy working cross-functionally across multiple departments in support of daily operational activities, ensuring our success as an organization in participating in the NYHER program.This position requires a minimum formal education of bachelor’s degree.3-5 years of nonprofit experience, preferably with a community-based healthcare organizationExperience working in multiple platforms, such as UniteUs, FindHelp, or other healthcare-related systems.Prior knowledge of the New York Health Equity Reform program preferred.Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.Strong work ethic and superior attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently as needed.Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and appropriately prioritize.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
