This position will support operations for the Hopkins Propane office in Stigler, OK, but can be based out of Smithville, OK. This position is responsible for loading, transporting and delivering propane to our residential and commercial customers using a bobtail truck (3,000 - 5,000 gallon capacity). A Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements is required for this role. This position also requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude in the face of challenges, and the ability to execute on identified solutions. Above all else, personal safety and the safety of our customers must take on the highest priority.Duties/Responsibilities:Complies with all city, state, and federal regulationsLoads, secures, transports, and delivers propane and fuel to residential/commercial locationsPerforms pre and post-trip inspections on equipment used for the transportation of hazardous materialsMaintains and completes accurate records by documenting truck inspections, hours of service, product transported, and miles driven in compliance with all DOT regulationsMaintains the operational efficiency of vehicles by monitoring truck maintenance needs, conducting minor repairs and conducting daily DOT truck inspections to ensure maximum vehicle safetyEnsures that delivery vehicle receives service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisorPerforms other related duties as assignedQualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities:Proven work experience as a Propane Delivery DriverAdvanced knowledge of propane (LP) and refined fuel systemsKnowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety (FMCSA) RegulationsProficient in the Microsoft Office SuiteWillingness to learn, grow, and uphold a customer focused culture that continually strives to exceed expectationsEducation, Certification, Licenses Required:High school diploma or equivalent requiredClass A or B CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements requiredMust have a valid drivers license with a clean driving recordLP Delivery certification through the Oklahoma RRC (preferred, or with the ability to obtain)TWIC card (preferred)Physical, Mental, and Behavioral Requirements:Position requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to heavy weights of 20 to 100 lbs. for approximately 90% of the work shiftAbility to regularly climb in and out of a commercial motor vehicle, multiple times per work shiftGood hand eye coordination, arm hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and visual acuity to operate equipment is required, including at nightFrequent sitting, reaching with hands and armsMust be able to speak and hearPosition is subject to pre-hire DOT medical certification requirements and drug and/or alcohol testing, as well as a physical abilities test performed by a company providerMust pass pre-employment screening and background checkPosition may require working evening hours and weekends as neededWork is normally performed outside where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes, airborne particles, and gases is commonMeritum Energy Holdings is an equal opportunity employer to all qualified applicants regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental ability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, status as a disabled veteran and/or veteran of the Vietnam War Era or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
