The C Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on transit vehicles, ensuring they are safe and reliable for service. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and excellence.\r\nRate of Pay is $30.36\r\nTransdev is proud to offer: ATU Local 192\r\nCBA Position\r\nPosition Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement\r\nBenefits include\r\n\r\n\r\nVacation: up to 12 days per year\r\n\r\n\r\nPaid Sick Leave: 8 hrs. monthly full-time employees/5 hrs. monthly part-time employees, medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays.\r\n\r\n\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\n\r\n\r\nPerform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks on transit vehicles.\r\n\r\n\r\nConduct minor repairs on vehicles, including replacing belts, hoses, filters, and other components.\r\n\r\n\r\nAssist in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues.\r\n\r\n\r\nFollow established maintenance procedures and guidelines.\r\n\r\n\r\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.\r\n\r\n\r\nEnsure compliance with safety standards and regulations.\r\n\r\n\r\nCollaborate with other mechanics and team members to ensure efficient workflow.\r\n\r\n\r\nUse appropriate tools and equipment safely and effectively.\r\n\r\n\r\nPerform other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.\r\n\r\n\r\nQualifications\r\n\r\n\r\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\r\n\r\n\r\nBasic mechanical knowledge and experience in vehicle maintenance.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.\r\n\r\n\r\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.\r\n\r\n\r\nGood communication and teamwork abilities.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to follow instructions.\r\n\r\n\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.\r\n\r\n\r\nProlonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling.\r\n\r\n\r\nExposure to various weather conditions and potential hazards in a maintenance shop environment.\r\n\r\n\r\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
