About the Opportunity:The Software Engineer — Agentic data pipelines will design and build automated systems that generate, process, and quality-control large biomedical datasets used to train a multimodal transformer model. This role involves developing AI agents that produce reproducible data pipelines from diverse biomedical sources. The position contributes to improving data acquisition and processing reliability, supporting scalable model training and enabling scientific advancements.3. Responsibilities:Design and maintain agentic systems that convert biomedical data pointers into reviewed, versioned datasets with reproducible pipelinesDevelop LLM-based pipelines for data cleaning, normalization, and formatting across molecular, genomic, clinical, and literature data modalitiesImplement automated quality-control workflows to detect anomalies and enforce data standardsEvaluate and improve agent architectures, prompting strategies, and validation methods to enhance code reliability and throughputCollaborate with ML scientists to translate data requirements into scalable acquisition and processing systemsMonitor and maintain distributed data pipelines in production, diagnosing failures and improving robustnessDocument data provenance, processing decisions, and quality metrics for reproducibility and auditingOperate agents securely with sandboxed execution, restricted credentials, network controls, and audit logs4. Requirements:Master’s degree in computational STEM field, or Bachelor’s with 2+ years industry experienceStrong Python engineering skills with production-quality software experienceHands-on experience with LLM APIs (e.g., Claude, GPT) and agentic patterns including tool use and orchestrationFamiliarity with biomedical or chemical data sources and formats such as PDB, UniProt, ChEMBL, SDF/MOL, FASTAExperience with data engineering fundamentals including ETL design, data validation, and handling structured/unstructured data at scaleExperience with Python testing frameworks like pytestPreferred qualifications include experience with agent orchestration frameworks, cloud infrastructure, multimodal biomedical data, large-scale dataset curation for ML, agent security practices, and interest in natural language orchestrators for drug prosecution workflows.5.
