The financial analyst will be responsible for identifying areas of concern/opportunity and recommend corrective actions across strategy, finance and operations by analyzing results and variances and identifying trends. Will also provide financial planning and analysis of sales, cost of goods sold, contribution margins, cost center spending, expenses and capital expenditures.\n\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\n\nIdentify areas of concern/opportunity and recommend corrective actions across strategy, finance and operations by analyzing results and variances and identifying trends.\n\nProvide financial analysis of sales, cost of good sold, contribution margins, cost center spending, expenses and capital expenditures.\n\nReconcile balances and transactions by comparing and correcting data.\n\nProvide information to amanagement by assembling and summarzing data, preparing reports, making presentation of findings, analyses and recommendations.\n\nAssist in preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.\n\nCreate / support financial models to analyze \"what if\" scenarios.\n\nCalculate and assess returns on investments of new projects and opportunities.\n\nAssist in supporting quarter-end and year-end reviews/audits conducted by independent auditors.\n\nRecognizing areas of need and implementing process improvements and efficiencies, developing automated applications, eliminating duplications and coordinating information requirements.\n\nAssisting in ERP system upgrades/implementation\n\nOther financial and accounting projects as needed.\n\nSKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:\n\nKnowledge of core accounting principles, practices and financial concepts\n\nPossess strong mathematical and analytical skills with excellent problem solving skills.\n\nSAP FI/CO experience preferred.\n\nStrong verbal & written communication skills\n\nBachelor's degree in Finance a must.\n\nExperience in a manufacturing environment preferred.\n\nCompensation Package: HORIBA Instruments offers a competitive compensation package that includes a 401(k) plan with match; employee group dental, vision, life, and disability (short and long-term) paid for by the company; medical insurance, family dental and vision insurance, and supplemental life insurance available with reasonable employee contributions; employee assistance program; paid holidays, vacation, and sick time; flexible spending accounts; and educational reimbursement and commuter benefit programs.\n\nQualified candidates can expect to earn between $95,000 - $115,000 depending on experience.\n\nIf you are an individual with a disability and need an accommodation during the application/hiring process, please email sandra.rojo@horiba.com or call (949) 344-0152 for assistance.
