This person will build strong customer relationships through dedicated customer service and product development. They will become the voice of our customers and work closely with our engineering and management teams in China to bring new products from design concepts to mass production.\nThe Thermal Engineering Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing program management, engineering management, project management, hardware development, and systems engineering tasks.\nThis is a highly dynamic role that requires strong ownership, structured thinking, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while keeping all stakeholders aligned.\nThis is a full-time, hybrid position based in Cupertino, CA, with flexibility for partial remote work.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProgram Management\nLead global cross-functional teams to drive end-to-end product development from concept through launch, ensuring successful program execution\nDrive program alignment by leading regular syncs and clearly communicating priorities, risks, and actions\nProactively identify risks and drive mitigation or recovery plans to keep programs on track\nManage interdependencies, resolve conflicts, and remove build blockers\nCoordinate material planning and build readiness, including resources and factory readiness (fixtures, equipment, processes)\nPartner closely with factory engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams to ensure smooth NPI and ramp readiness\nBe the main point of contact for commercial topics (such as quotes, purchase orders, invoices, etc.)\nWork closely with customers’ global supply team for price and delivery considerations\nDemonstrate strong ownership and drive program success, even without direct authority\nCustomer Interface and Communication\nServe as the primary point of contact for customer teams, aligning on schedules, build plans, and key deliverables\nAct as the central interface across customer Engineering, Operations, and GSM teams to ensure clear communication and cross-functional team alignment\nProvide clear program updates, including status, priorities, risks, and required support\nDrive timely DFM and report approvals and ensure readiness for customer milestones\nCoordinate and support customer visits to AAC manufacturing sites, ensuring discussions are structured and objectives are achieved\nBe available as needed to assist customers and colleagues even outside of regular business hours.\nTravel Requirements\nUp to 25% international travel (primarily to China), approximately 2-6 times annually.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nRequired qualifications:\nBachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.\n3-5 years of experience in program or product management\nExperience with NPI cycles and hardware product development\nExperience with supply chain operations or materials management\nExperience in leading cross-functional teams\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilities\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nPreferred qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, Master's degree is a plus\n5-10 years of experience in program or project management\nKnowledge of hardware design and manufacturing processes\nHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously\nExperience with quoting, cost structure, or budget alignment is a plus\nSkills\nAbility to understand complex mechanical assemblies\nDetailed knowledge and understanding of product development processes\nExperience in leadership and managing teams, as well as leading cross-functional process improvements, and ability to inspire team members and build collaborative work environments\nDemonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities and ability to collaborate and influence across multiple levels of an organization, with excellent analytical and communication/facilitation skills.\nNegotiation and risk management skills\nComfortable in communicating with all levels of
