Worldpay Cloud Data Platform team helps maintain and advance cloud data platforms and services to build data products powering our business services and customers.\r\nAs a UI Developer, you will be responsible for coding, testing and analyzing application software, supporting existing products and business applications.\r\nConduct usability testing to identify and fix UI issues and gather real-world intelligence from target users.\r\nCollaborate with business and IT decision makers to discuss user interface requirements and brainstorm UI ideas.\r\nUse responsive web design to create applications that automatically conform to multiple screen sizes/devices.\r\nDevelop the aesthetics implemented within a website or product, including layout menus, dropdowns, colors and fonts.\r\nKeep up with the latest trends and best practices of UI/UX design and human-computer interaction.\r\nUse visual aids such as wireframes, storyboards, and UI flow charts to plan and present UI designs.\r\nApply SEO principles to develop search-friendly websites and interfaces.\r\nWork closely with other Development and QA team members to improve usability.\r\nAdhere to SDLC and development processes, coding standards and best practices.\r\nTroubleshoot various products and business applications in production as needed.\r\nAttend overnight releases, when needed.\r\nAim for operational excellence by automating processes and writing maintainable, supportable, and testable code.\r\nNetwork with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.\r\nWhat You'll Bring:\r\nAbout 8 years of experience in software development methodologies and best practices.\r\n5+ years of experience in building web services in SOAP and/or REST using Java, Spring/Spring Boot.\r\n3+ years hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry or AWS, or container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.\r\nStrong experience collaborating using Agile/Scrum methodology.\r\nSolid experience with Git, GitHub and DevOps tools like Jenkins and Nexus repository.\r\nFluent in complex SQL; experience with DB2, Oracle or SQL Server preferred.\r\nExperience with data streaming (e.g., Kafka), data messaging and event-driven systems.\r\nExperience with modern agile software delivery practices such as CI/CD, TDD, BDD, DevOps, and automation.\r\nExcellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.\r\nStrong problem-solving skills.\r\nBachelor's Degree required.\r\nAbout The Team\r\nOur Information Technology team keeps Worldpay infrastructure up, running, and performing worldwide.
