This role is crucial for ensuring our operations comply with all environmental, health, and safety regulations, and for overseeing the maintenance of our facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing EHS programs, conducting safety audits, and leading the maintenance team to achieve operational excellence.\nHours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.\nConduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures to minimize accidents.\nOversee regular inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.\nLead, train, and manage maintenance staff, scheduling repairs and routine upkeep.\nHandle emergency response incidents and provide a detailed report of events and outcomes.\nManage waste disposal and recycling according to environmental guidelines. Conduct training sessions for staff on safety practices, crisis procedures, and the use of protective equipment.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related field.\nMinimum of 5 years experience in an EHS role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.\nStrong understanding of Louisiana’s environmental and safety regulations.
