Job Description JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with cabling crewsBuild out telecommunications closetsInstall cable support systems which consist of cable tray, j-hooks and ladder trayInstall cat 6 horizontal station cable, backbone cable, fiber optic cable and inner ductInstall special systems, security, CCTV, audio visual, and fire alarm cableTerminate cat 6 horizontal 4-pair work-area outlet (modular connector) and optical fiber (multi-mode, single-mode, LC, SC)Perform copper splicing, fiber splicing (fusion or mechanical)Perform copper cable testing (UTP and coax) and optical fiber testingPerform both copper and optical fiber troubleshootingMust be able to work on ladders and use power toolsMust have the ability to lift, carry, and set up a 50 lb. ladderAbility to work overtime as neededAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesRequirementsOSHA 10 required1 _ years experience in the communications cabling IndustryData Center experience a PLUSDemonstrate a clear knowledge of codes and standardsAbility to complete and submit accurate documentation which tracks work progress including timesheets and other related documentsCommunicate with strong written and verbal skillsMaintain a positive attitude and professional dress and demeanorTOOLS:Owns all company required communications technician hand tools, keeps them in good operating condition, and knows how to use them.CERTIFICATION (desired):BICSI Certified Technician -- Installer 1 or 2, Copper and/or FiberOther manufacturer certificationsOther certifications such as Confined Space, etc.Please submit your resume on Workable: https://apply.workable.com/abcom/j/A9F7AC1519/BenefitsMedical and dental benefitsPaid vacation and holidaysTraining401K retirement plan
