In this role, you will build and maintain Angular web applications, implement UI components from a shared Design System, integrate with RESTful backend microservices, and write frontend tests to ensure code quality and reliability. You will translate Figma designs into production code, build responsive and cross-browser interfaces, and collaborate with backend developers, UX designers, and federal product owners within an Agile scrum team. All frontend code on this program must meet WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 accessibility standards, and you will be expected to implement accessible UI patterns as a standard part of your development workflow.Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.Responsibilities\r\nDevelop Angular components and UI features against sprint commitments, translating Figma designs into clean, maintainable production code using approved Design System components, tokens, and patterns\r\nBuild and consume RESTful APIs, collaborating with backend developers on data contracts, request/response structures, and integration points to ensure frontend components display data correctly\r\nWrite frontend tests (component tests, service tests, integration tests) achieving at least 90% branch coverage on all new and modified code\r\nImplement accessibility standards in all UI code, including proper ARIA attributes, semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, and color contrast compliance per WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 requirements\r\nEnsure all new UI code passes automated accessibility checks (aXe, pa11y) in the CI pipeline before merge\r\nContribute to the Design System through the governance process: identify reusable patterns, propose new components, and ensure contributions are documented in Figma and Confluence\r\nBuild responsive, cross-browser interfaces that work across supported browsers and devices\r\nComplete code reviews within 1 business day with substantive feedback focused on code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards\r\nParticipate fully in Agile ceremonies within a SAFe framework: Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Sprint Review, Retrospective, and Backlog Refinement\r\nMaintain clean, well-documented TypeScript and Angular code that passes SonarQube quality gates: B+ minimum for bugs and smells, zero critical vulnerabilities\r\nSupport production triage when assigned, diagnosing frontend issues, implementing fixes, and ensuring all changes follow the standard code review and CI/CD pipeline process\r\nCollaborate with UX designers on design feasibility during backlog refinement and provide technical input on story decomposition and estimation5 years of applicable experience in frontend web development\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or 3 years of additional experience)\r\nProficiency in Angular (version 12+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with hands-on experience building component-based single-page applications\r\nExperience building and consuming RESTful APIs from frontend applications, including handling asynchronous data flows, error states, and loading patterns\r\nExperience implementing designs from Figma or similar design tools, translating visual specifications into pixel-accurate, production-ready code\r\nExperience working with a shared Design System or component library, consuming reusable UI components and following established patterns and tokens\r\nFamiliarity with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and Section 508 compliance, with experience implementing basic accessible UI patterns such as semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and keyboard navigation\r\nExperience writing frontend unit and integration tests using frameworks such as Jasmine, Karma, or Jest\r\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI preferred) and understanding of how frontend builds and tests
